02/19/24 Update
I haven't had much time to focus entirely on development these past few days, but I did make two big changes: I removed the last two images from the project to make it entirely text-based, and I completed a collection of color pickers and preset buttons to allow players a wider range of color in their experience.
First thing I'll get through real quick is the removal of the last two images I had, those being the splash screen with my website name on it and the title screen. Those have been replaced with new text-only versions, utilizing HTML and CSS to make them look visually distinct. I did this mainly to make it easier for me to implement the color changing features without as much of a hassle, which serves as a perfect segue into that topic.
I'll likely tweak the color presets as time goes on, but the color pickers are simple; they use your current browser-based color picker to change the color of text, links, and the background itself. The additions have their quirks, but I believe that they're worth it for the control that they allow over how the game looks. Please provide feedback in the comments, because I truly want to know what you think about this little project and what it currently has at hand.
And that about covers the update. I did some background improvements to the existing code that I was working with, but other than the things I've already gone over, not much has changed. See you next time, and have a great day.
